WOW! This day just kept going and going and going…you get the idea π Between my class and NNN – I didn’t think it was ever going to end! I don’t have time to talk too in-depth about NNN yet. But I suppose since I’m going to keep talking about it I should probably at least tell you what it is! Basically, I’m a broadcast journalism major, and NNN is our student television newscast. We have shows on Mondays and Wednesdays – and I’m the news director! It’s a lot of work, but luckily my roomie is my executive producer and we tag team to get the job done! If you have any interest in seeing some of our shows, check out our website and click on some of the show dates on the right side. My roomie is the anchor for our Monday shows! My roomie = awesome π
Alright, on to the real stars of the day – my meals! Lunch was an awesome PB + Banana Muffin. I used a Thomas Whole Wheat English Muffin with 1 tbsp. peanut butter and 1/2 a large banana:
It was absolutely delicious! It was my first time trying out the whole wheat muffins – they were so doughy!!
A short time after that I had the rest of my lunch – a Banana Walnut Gnu Bar:
Not exactly a balanced meal, but unfortunately that’s the way it is on show days. I do my best to pack healthy, filling food that I can snack on throughout the day. But I don’t really get a “lunch break” π
Dinner
Oh how I look forward to my Monday and Wednesday night dinners! My roomie and I (her name is Kathleen) have made it a tradition to go out to dinner as a treat for all the hard work we put in during the day. It’s nothing too fancy, but it definitely hits the spot. And most of the time it’s…
COSI!! It’s the most amazing salad, sandwich, etc. restaurant around town! Tonight, I ordered the Greek salad, which comes with feta cheese, kalamata olives, tomatoes and a really yummy vinagrette. I get the dressing on the side so I can dip it – I don’t like when the salad is saturated in dressing because I want to be able to taste all the different ingredients! But by far the best part about Cosi is their bread:
Freshly-baked. Warm. Doughy. Whole Grain. HUGE. Need I say more? I absolutely love bread – and love to try all different kinds. But this bread is by far the best I have ever tasted.
My roomie and me with our salads and bread:
I just look silly. I hope you’ve all had wonderful days – my schedule will be a lot less hectic tomorrow.
Sweet dreams π
This picture is so cute! And I L.O.V.E. Cosi! We have one RIGHT by my house, like 5-7 minutes driving MAX! Sweet deal, right? Anyways, glad I found your blog! Have a fabulous night!
That’s awesome that you’re the news director!! =D You’re well on your way to broadcast success! =)
I’m sorry you don’t really get a lunch break. =( I hate those days. I am the same on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I have to eat during class, yuck!
Cosi? We have no Cosi here… sad! Is it kind of like Panera Bread? And whole grain!? All that much better! You guys are too cute… (maybe this is a stupid question but who is who?)
I love those english muffins as well, they are rather tasty!
Jill – Cosi is definitely like Panera Bread! That’s actually the other place we usually go to for our dinners, haha! We’re creatures of habit I guess π
I’m the one on the right!
Makes sense now that I compare it to your picture, guess I could have done that before!
Wow, you had a whirlwind day indeed!! I’m a journalism major, so I definitely understand how demanding it can get. But it sounds like you’re doing great, so keep it up! :0)
Despite your hectic day, at least you still had time to eat deliciously – I LOVE the PB-Banana muffin, especially!!
Wow, that’s quite a responsibility! I totally cave under pressure, so I totally wouldn’t be able to be a news director, or a director of any sort! :p
And whole wheat muffins ARE pretty awesome. They totally fill you up too! But I’ve never had it with banana before, so I’m going to try it next time!
And I wish I could find bread like that where I live!
