Pain délicieux.

I had a very early lunch and even earlier dinner, so I decided to do a combined post. I’ll probably have another mini-meal later tonight – I was just extra hungry today!

Lunch was quick, simple and oh so yummy – BBQ Chik’n Cheesy Wrap.

I used a Kidz FlatOut Wrap that I found at my local grocery store last weekend. 100% Stone Ground Whole Wheat and only 60 calories per wrap – sounded like a good deal to me! It didn’t disappoint. I sprinkled my wrap with some reduced-fat Mexican cheese and added a Quorn Chik’n cutlet sliced into strips. Top it all with about 2 tbsp. of barbecue sauce and you’ve got yourself one tasty lunch 🙂

On the side I had some whipped cottage cheese and later, a rice cake with a PB + Chocolate Dream mixture.

Visions of Paris

I was lucky enough to go on a Paris trip with my school for spring break last year and have been craving to go back to those French bakeries and cafes ever since. After our afternoon class today, my roomie suggested we try out a place called Al’s Deli – she’d been there before and said they had French sandwiches and butter cream cookies – that’s all I needed to hear! I was in the door for sure after I saw these in the window:

Sadly, I did not indulge in a cookie – I’ll save that for the next trip! I did, however, have an amazing smoked turkey and swiss sandwich on a giant French baguette with lettuce, tomato and seedy mustard.

This sandwich definitely hit the spot today and filled me up perfectly 🙂

I don’t think it hurt that I almost felt like I was back in a French cafe.

Time to crack down on paper #2! It’s a group paper – and I’m the one putting it all together 👿 I suppose I do volunteer to put myself in these situations…

I’m sure another post will be coming before the night is through. Until then!

  1. That baguette looks SO good!!

Good luck on your second paper! But ew.. group paper?? I always end up doing all the work in group projects (mostly because I want it one right). Good luck!

  2. I ADORE Paris – haven’t been there in 5 years, but your photographs brought me back (love the food!)

Best of luck on paper #2 – ahh, I HATE group work (I too end up doing all the work in those situations!!)

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

  3. 50 minutes of reading and i am finally caught up! Sorry I have missed so much (bit busy these days you know…) We need to start eating more meals together so that I can taste more of these delicious looking creations!

Al’s Deli is Neal’s favorite restaurant. I have been meaning to try it, bit expensive though right?

See you tomorrow for lunch…too bad we are bringing bag lunches…
