And by good enough, I mean that you are all some of the kindest, most caring and compassionate people I have ever “met” in my life.
You are all amazing.
I was so overwhelmed by the warm and emotional responses to my last post. Honestly, I was scared out of my mind to post that story, but the blogging community has once again shown meΒ support through unbelievably kind words. So truly, THANK YOU all. You’ve given me the courage to continue on with the My Portion contributions, and I am thrilled that I was able to provide something interesting for you to read.
I will be back later today with the eats for the week and some sparkly new product reviews π
**EDITED TO ADD**
And below is my response to your amazing comments (in the comment section of the last post). I didn’t want it to get lost, so I’m posting it again here:
To all ~ Wow. I am at a loss for words. You all provided some amazing perspectives on this issue, and I canβt tell you how much of a comfort it is to know that I can relate to you on so many levels. Please know how grateful I am for you taking the time to respond with so much thought and care. You have inspired me to continue with this new idea for the blog, in order to generate more responses such as these. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Aww, Jenn, it’s a TREAT to be able to read your writings!! Keep it up, for sure!! π
Great post and its great for you to see all those responses. I think a lot of us who get into health/wellness have the same personalities and it is important to maintain a balance and enjoy life not live in the bubble of always trying to be “perfect”
It was though provoking and well written. It’s a keeper! π
your last post triggered both empathy and admiration in me…. such a touhing wake-up call. i agree with christie above, that peope striving for similar health goals do tend to overlap in a lot of personality traits, and i think it’s so fantastic that we can share and learn from each other.
Wuv you Benda! YOU go girl!
You’re awesome!
i don’t know about you, but i want to THANK YOU for your post because really, i think it kinda opens up a lot of eyes about things that like you initially were, afraid to write about. π
your post rocked hun, and i love every post you make…your blog is one of the best!
no, thank YOU!!!
you are an inspiration– and so incredibly talented π
have a wonderful night!
Jenn, I was encouraged and proud of your post when reading the comments. Like your my long lost little sister. π
Heather
P.S. Thank you so much for adding me to your blogroll. I really want to add one, but am afraid it will take up too much space.
Jenn, you are such an inspiration. I was so relieved to read your last post. I am in “eating disorder recovery” and a “good enough” mentality is something I am struggling with. It is really wonderful to see someone who has achieved this healthy goal. Also, I am a person who “holds it all in” – I am weary about opening talking about my emotions. (I can’t even open up to a therapist.) Seeing how you were able to share your emotions with your readers was really eye-opening. Your are so strong.
To all ~ Wow, you’ve left me speechless again! Honestly, I feel like I need to send you all thank-you cards in the regular mail π I really appreciate your honesty and feedback. Your willingness to share your stories and your compliments have kept me smiling continuously all day long. I am SO grateful and touched.
