Mr. Claus is helping me learn about Business & Government.

For example, did you know that for many years, he has been running a natural monopoly up at the North Pole? There’s no other workshop like his – in fact, one could even say that “Santa’s Workshop” is an example of a trademark.

Ok, I will spare you! But I did want to show you the super cute mug I got at Target a few weeks ago. And I am definitely in the economics frame of mind right now – my test is in approximately 15 hours!

Since I must be brief, I wanted to provide some link love for you (or Mish Mosh, if you’ve been reading this blog long enough).

  1. Caitlin over at See Bride Run has just launched an online supplement superstore with her Future Husband and his family! I am a big proponent of holistic products, so I think that the site is great and I can’t wait to check it out in more detail over winter break. For more information, check out this post.
  2. In honor of his 100th post, the uber-creative ZestyCook is giving away a $100 Amazon Gift Card! Check it out and feel free to enter – but don’t even try to steal lady luck away from me! 😉 His blog is great – and he’s the one who designed my header!
  3. Speaking of giveaways, don’t forget about my own Vita-Mix Super 5200 Giveaway! I’m still amazed by just how many entries there have been so far – and still highly recommend that you check out the post and read through some of the awesome recipes! Remember, you have until Monday, December 15 at 11:59 p.m. CST to enter!
  4. Check out this link to read about how a diet rich in nuts and other Mediterranean foods may cut your risk for heart disease. Some of you may know that already, in which case I pose a question (see below).

That’s the Mish Mosh for tonight! I do have one question: I have been reading about the benefits of the so-called “Mediterranean Diet” for a while now, and am wondering if there is anyone out there who follows it and can tell me more about it? Just curious!

Wish me luck tomorrow! I will catch up on blog reading tomorrow when I am HOME SWEET HOME! I hope that everyone has a fantastic Friday!

**EDITED TO ADD**

I forgot another exciting link! Bobbi over at N Her Shoes is hosting a ProBar Giveaway through this Sunday! Check it out

  1. All I know about the Mediterranean diet is that there’s a lot of olive oil, moderation wine consumption, lots of walking and less working and stress. Sounds divine, no?

    Love the snow affect!!!

  2. Ah! That mug is soooo cute! I love the mish mosh post! Yayy for Caitlin’s new site! Hope you enjoyed your day with mama. Good luck on your exam!

  3. The Host is a really good book! It’s different from the Twilight series, but it’s essentially a love story too. The idea of the book is really interesting and I think you’ll like it. I love your background by the way…the snow falling is so cute.

  4. Too cute!

I am not sure I know exactly what the Mediterranean diet is, but if it involves garlic, olive oil, fresh vegetables and whole grains – I am on it now. 😀 I eat garlic and olive oil pretty much everyday.

  6. I eat, sleep, and breathe hummus these days since we bought a supersized tub at Costco last week. So, the Mediterranean diet is working for me! No, all kidding aside. I’ve heard good things about this diet in that it provides a better balance between omega 3’s and omega 6’s. I don’t know much more than that. Love the mug.

  7. You know what’s funny? I’ve been waiting for that mug to appear on your blog =] I saw it at Target and thought of you and how I was bound to see it here! It’s even cuter than I remember.

Good luck on your exam! We’re almost there!

  8. I don’t follow it but my house eats many of the foods in the diet cause that’s what we grow up eating coming from the Middle East. Its a very veggies + fish based diet…

  9. Love that mug! I’ll be in Buffalo tomorrow and Target is on my hit list (hehe). I may need to be an Eating Bender copy cat!! 🙂

  10. the santa mug is so cute! he matches the snowman one that i have! target, right?? 😀
love the mish mosh! i kind of follow a medterranean style of eating in the sense that i only eat fish, lots of produce and small amounts of healthy fats and wine. not sure how they feel about clif bars, though– i love them to death 😀
hope you have a happy friday!! shoot me an email about when you get into az– my cousin and i might be driving up to phoenix next weekend!

  11. I consider my diet to be pretty Mediterranean in nature. Basically, it’s lots of whole grains and veggies, lots of olive oil, lots of fish, moderate consumption of eggs, cheese, red wine, and nuts, and very little red meat, saturated fat and sweets. Focus on minimally processed foods. It’s a good way to eat…healthy, varied, and no deprivation.
