I took a brief walk outside and the chilly air gave me the second wind I needed to get to the gym and break a sweat! I just did some light resistance cardio – 30 minutes Stairmaster and 15 minutes stationary bike. It actually helped me release a lot of the anxiety and tension that had built up surrounding my test. I have to say though, the evening workouts are not a favorite of mine. I used to always go to the gym around 9:00 at night freshman and sophomore year and I hated it. But I also couldn’t wake up early like I can now. I think my circadian rhythm has somehow moved so that I’m much more of a morning person – a ‘lark’ instead of an ‘owl’ if you will – oh no, somebody slap me because this is just too much psych! Though I’m not complaining about being up with the sunrise 🙂
After my workout I had a lovely nightcap of fresh blackberries.
Aw, so pretty. Then I mauled the presentation by mixing in some Cool Whip.
I’d say I’m pretty much addicted to that stuff. I buy two at the grocery store every week 😳 I really need to stop because I finally took my head out of the clouds and looked at the ingredient list:
Ingredients: WATER, CORN SYRUP, HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL* (COCONUT AND PALM KERNEL OILS), HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, LESS THAN 2% OF SODIUM CASEINATE (FROM MILK), NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, MODIFIED FOOD STARCH, XANTHAN AND GUAR GUMS, POLYSORBATE 60, POLYSORBATE 65, SORBITAN MONOSTEARATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, BETA CAROTENE (COLOR). *ADDS A NEGLIGIBLE AMOUNT OF FAT.
aka C-R-A-P.
I really love the whipped topping though, so if you have ANY suggestions (vegan? non-vegan?), please send them my way!
Sweet dreams 🙂
Ouch!! Those are the ingredients? I’ve never tried Cool Whip, nor am I a fan of whipped topping so I can’t help. =( But I hear “soyatoo” is a good vegan product.
OMG I never looked at the ingredients either! I think I might go throw the rest of my cool whip out! but it tastes so good…
Oh goodness, you’re reminding me of MY psychology class last year, with all the circadian rhythm talk, haha. I’m definitely a “lark” too.
The photograph of those blackberries made my eyes widen, haha! I LOVE blackberries, and am so glad that they’re available at the market right now.
Yeah, try “Soyatoo” vegan whipped topping.
I used to be obsessed w/ sf coolwhip and using it in recipes, but “gave it up”… I’ll have to try soyatoo next time I make my pb pie!
Romina and VeggieGirl – Thank you for the suggestion!
Cassie and lindzakins921 – I KNOW, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t noticed it before. Guess I was just concentrating on how good it is!
