Thank goodness for the invention of the lightbulb and the Internet. I came back from my workout this morning to a power outage in my apartment building and have realized over the course of 7 hours just how much I love Thomas Edison and Al Gore 😉 Luckily Tuesdays involve a lot of class and other out-of-apartment activities, but showering and walking down a dark hallway to a dark stairwell were not the highlights of this day to be sure!
I managed to get a picture of breakfast. I had wanted oatmeal but of course that wouldn’t work out very well on my electric stove (maybe if I looked at it long enough it would’ve cooked?), so I had the last of my ‘Pump’ It Up muffins with some Dark Chocolate Dreams and some cold cereal – Nature’s Rice Puffs with Trader Joe’s High Fiber and some almond milk.

Unfortunately, after breakfast my camera died, and no electricity = no camera charging = inadequate blog pictures to share! I went to the student center on campus and bought a Greek salad with chicken and a whole wheat roll. Their salads are freshly tossed and generally pretty good so I’m sure there will be a picture of one on here someday. Until then we can all use our imaginations 🙂
I did manage to get in a good workout this morning – 30 minutes Stairmaster, 10 minutes stationary bike and an arm machine workout. I had the usual 1/2 a Clif bar beforehand.
Now I’m back in my warm apartment (the power went out on the warmest day of the spring!), giving thanks for lighting and Internet and camera chargers…
Be back soon! 🙂
It’s amazing how many things we take for granted, like lightbulbs!! Things like power utages truly make us appreciate the little things. =)
Yikes, so sorry about the power outage!! I always freak out when that happens – shows how dependent I am on modern conveniences, haha :0)
Ahh, and your camera too?? Too bad!! At least your meal descriptions are wonderful, and can paint a picture on their own :0)
Enjoy the rest of your day, sans outages!!
