What a week. Between studying for midterms, applying for jobs, taking the midterms and flying home (!!), I am v. tired 😉 And yes, you read that right – I’m home sweet home (HSH) for the weekend!
I decided to take advantage of the fact that I have no class on Fridays or Mondays, and since this week was my busiest in terms of school work, I decided the weekend would be perfect for travel so that I could enjoy a more relaxing weekend with my family. Oh, and I was also able to do this…
My first-ever voting experience! I’m so glad I’m finally old enough to participate in a presidential election 🙂 It felt good to do my “civic duty,” haha! After I voted, I paid a visit to a little slice of heaven…
Glorious!! I also got my haircut and saw High School Musical 3 (HSM)!!!! Yes, I’m a huge fan of those movies – and the music 🙂 It was amazing! I took my bro (who is also a huge fan) and my mom and we hung out with all the little kids at the matinee show. Suh-weet!
Basically, it’s been just the kind of day I needed. And even though I still have another midterm to study for this weekend, the thought of studying at home is a lot more appealing! Especially because I can study while drinking Coffee Cocoa out of my favorite mug.
This afternoon, my mom and I ate lunch at a golf clubhouse. I ended up getting the same make your own salad I had last time, and it was just as yummy! Romaine lettuce topped with grilled chicken, bell peppers, mushrooms and hard-boiled egg, plus an edible flower 🙂 I dipped it in white French dressing on the side.
And so ends my recap 🙂 Now I’ve got some serious blog reading to do, and some more chillaxin’ as well! I’ll be back tomorrow with some yummy food reviews!!

What a great weekend! I am so glad you get to spend some time at home with the fab! Getting a haircut always makes me feel so good when I am stressed, so I bet you loved it too! Edible flower = AWEsome. My mom used to saute lily flowers when I was little. We’d pick them out of our front yard. And sometimes she’d make candied violets – heaven 🙂
Yay! This was my first election to vote in as well–I feel so much more like an adult now.

how was hsm3? i haven’t seen any of the movies, but i know ALL the songs- when i taught dance, all of the kids wanted to dance to hsm and hannah montana, so i have a ton of disney cds 😀

As for my weekend: last night I was working on a group presentation for 9-2. AT NIGHT! Yes, 9pm-2am on a friday night I was working on econ. What an exciting life I lead. sigh. Make sure you keep having an amazing weekend so I can enjoy it vicariously through you!
