So Here’s What Happened

Bobby smiled as he read your thoughts on his video post. 🙂 Thanks for your sweet comments!

So here’s what happened. After Bobby’s CFA exam, I had every intention of whipping up a fabulous meal. He called to let me know he was on his way home and I told him I was headed to the gym for a short workout but would be back close to when he arrived.

When I walked in the door, I heard:

“…that’s right, half pepperoni and sausage, half spinach.”

Pause.

“Sure. Bobby Krenn. K-R-E-N-N.”

Pause.

“Thanks, we’ll see you then.”

Snap. (Bobby still has a flip phone — a fact that makes me jealous. Often.)

He turned toward me and said, “Guess what we’re having for dinner?!”

I didn’t have to guess. I knew.

Thirty-five minutes later, we had our Lou Malnati’s. What the test taker wants, the test taker gets.

I’m not complaining, though. Their spinach pizza is pretty fantastic.

So fantastic, in fact, that I had to have two slices. And take a close-up shot.

My memory card also wanted to make sure I let you know that this happened, too.

What can I say? Future Certified Financial Analysts know how to kick back and have a good time. 🙂

Real cooking to resume in my next post.

What’s your favorite takeout food? Favorite takeout restaurant?

Side note: I absolutely LOVE cold pizza.

Abrazos,

    • Ok, you got me. I didn’t take a picture of it but if we’re being honest, the second piece was really more like two pieces missing a slice down the middle. 😉

  1. hehehehe. We should all get whatever we want after stressful events, right? The pizza looks incredible. I honestly am not a big takeout fan. If we’re getting food made for us, I like to get it in a restaurant where I literally have no clean up 😉 Hope you’re having a good week

  2. Seth and I are pretty big fans of Asian fare in general–one of our favorites is Chai’s Noodle Bistro, where we always order soba with crispy tofu!

  3. cant deny it, stellas make for a good post-test celebration choice. ok, really a post-anything choice.
