PB+J: Papa Bender + Jenn

Today is a very special day for dads everywhere! Here on my blog, my dad is better known as his alter ego – Papa Bender! How fitting that our initials spell PB&J. Or if you really want to get fancy, PB&B for Papa Bender & Bender – or Peanut Butter & Banana πŸ˜‰

No matter how you slice it, our mutual love for culinary adventures complements each other well.

I am so grateful for the dad who still makes me French toast and Mickey Mouse pancakes when I visit.

I’m grateful for the dad who cheers on my Northwestern Wildcats – except when they play the Badgers.

I’m grateful for the dad who so graciously allows my brother and me to beat him in golf. I mean, not many dads could hit houses and cacti all in the name of love πŸ˜‰

But in all seriousness, I am truly grateful for the dad who has been a loving husband for more than 29 years, a worried dad-of-a-daughter for more than 23 and an integral 1/4 of my unstoppably loving family of four for more than 17 years (as of last Thursday)!

Happy Papa Bender Day, Dad!

I love you and wish I could be in Arizona to spend the day with you, but I know you’re in good hands. Hope that mom and Eric protect you from snakes on the golf course!

Oh, and thanks for introducing me to the glory that is red wine.

Nature’s best sleeping pill.

To all the Korduckis reading: this is one of many similar pictures I have in my possession. Email me πŸ˜‰

I LOVE YOU!

Question: Do you have a Father’s Day tradition with your dad? If so, what?

If I was home, we would definitely be golfing! In fact, my family already is… πŸ™‚
