I 8 Gr8 in 2008!

Hi there! I apologize for the lack of posting yesterday, but unfortunately I was feeling a bit under the weather and my appetite was really off. I started to feel better later, but then we decided to go see the movie Marley & Me – very cute and of course, very sad at the end. Thanks to those of you who warned me so that I was better prepared.

Well, can you believe that we are just a few hours away from the end of 2008? Not to sound like a broken record (even though I’m going to anyway), but time certainly does fly by fast! It’s been a great year, and I am definitely looking forward to 2009. I thought I’d follow some other blogger examples and provide a list of some of my favorite blog moments from the year.

March 16, 2008: The Inaugural Post (I was such a dork!)

April 27, 2008: Almond Crusted Tilapia (one of the best meals I’ve made)

May 21, 2008: Ebleskiver Pancakes (my first time using the pan!)

June 29, 2008: A Special Trip to Whole Foods

July 30, 2008: Kooza! (spending time downtown after my internship)

August 6, 2008: Karyn’s Cooked (blogger meet up with VeggieGirl!)

September 29, 2008: Hosting the BSI Contest! (thanks to Erin and Andrea)

October 31, 2008: The Blog De-lurking Initiative (thanks to Meghann)

November 28, 2008: The “Bender” Family Thanksgiving

December 3, 2008: Getting in the Christmas Spirit

There are plenty of other great memories, but what I will remember most about the blog world in 2008 is the development of a huge community of bloggers who respect and care about one another. I think the friendships I’ve made will last a lifetime, and I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to connect with each and every one of you! Through your kindness, I more than met my 2008 blogging goal listed on the About Bender page:

My goal is to create a gathering of people who can look to each other for answers and advice on any and everything.

I think it’s safe to say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. I look forward to even bigger and better things in the coming year!

I’ll be back later with a recap of my New Year’s Eve Eats.
