Bretzel-mania!

Happy Saturday everyone! This post is actually going to recap Friday (yesterday) but I’ll be back later with today’s goodies ๐Ÿ™‚

BREAKFAST

Once I bring something back, it’s hard not to have it again and again!! Another day of whipped banana oatmeal!

This oatmeal was made with 1 packet Maple & Brown Sugar instant oatmeal, 1 large mashed and whipped banana, 1/2 cup unsweetened CHOCOLATE almond milk, wheat germ and flax. Topped again with Bear Naked Blueberry Walnut granola – it’s a tie between this one and the Emerald Berry Blend for my favorites right now!

With a mug of Coffee Cocoa, as per usual:

LUNCH

I didn’t end up eating a morning snack because I knew I was going to have to grab lunch pretty early since we had a 12:00 meeting. My office was FREEZING today, and since I didn’t have time to go outside just yet, I decided to grab a cup of soup!

I found a little soup and smoothie place nearby called Fresh Start. I got the Tomato Basil with Cashew soup. I made sure it wasn’t creamy because I don’t really like creamy tomato soup. This one surely wasn’t – it was really good and I could taste little bits of cashew in each bite!! How creative!

I also had a cup of hot chocolate to further warm myself up – it hit the spot!

I also bought myself a little something special to have on the side…

WHOLE GRAIN BRETZEL!!!! Holy moly, this thing tasted incredible. Perfectly doughy with pieces of whole grain in every bite for some chew. Honestly, one of the most amazing pieces of bread I’ve ever had.

I topped off lunch with a sweet treat – a fresh fruit cup with kiwi, blueberries and strawberries!!

All of this yummy food kept me fed and fueled through the rest of the work day!

DINNER

I met Bobby for dinner at Subway – can’t go wrong with $5 foot longs after a hard day’s work! Plus you’re “eating fresh,” right? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got the Veggie Delite sub with lettuce, pickles, green peppers, banana peppers, jalapeรฑo peppers, and black olives with a drizzle of honey mustard dressing. I got it on the honey oat bread – another favorite!

I love Subway’s bread – perfectly light!

Later, when I got home, I had a donut peach. It was my first time ever trying one – I saw them in the store and thought they were too cute to pass up, plus they were on sale!

Bobby and I decided that they are a cross between a peach and an apple or pear. I liked it a lot and would definitely have it again, but as far as being a peach goes, I think I like normal ones better!

I’m off to enjoy Saturday – “see” you later!

  1. That bretzel looks great!! And yeah, as cute as the donut peaches are, I prefer the taste of regular ol’ peaches. By the way, have you ever tried Peach-A-Rines?? They’re a cross between a peach and a nectarine. Pretty good :0)

  2. Wow, I haven’t had a lovely doughy pretzel (or rather bretzel I guess!) in ages. I LOVE them though, and that one looks amazing.
